Iteris Awarded $3.2 Million Contract for Tampa Regional Traffic Management Center

Extendable Five-year Agreement Provides Operations Services and Staff for Tampa Bay SunGuide Center in Florida DOT’s District 7

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 12, 2018-- Iteris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITI), the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, today announced that it has been awarded a $3.2 million sub-contract agreement to provide operations services and staff to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 regional traffic management center (RTMC) in Tampa, Florida, representing an expansion of Iteris’ operations services business in a key geographic market.

Under the terms of the sub-contract, with Lucent Group, Inc., Iteris will supply traffic management center (TMC) operations services and staff for a minimum of five years. The program supports FDOT’s commitment to a “proactive operations culture,” which takes a more purposeful approach to seeking and anticipating traffic-related issues with the goal of improving road safety and efficiency for travelers.

Tasks may also include integrating future I-75 managed lanes to the RTMC, co-management of arterial and freeway operations, and design and construction oversight of the new operator workstations’ floor layout.
